<image:title>Media - SUNRISE REVERIE</image:title>
<image:caption>This full-length play about dreaming, growing up, and the wonder of tradition was devised by the North Carolina Governor's School East 2023 Theatre Ensemble. Students began the creative process through individual exploration of their voices, both the physical experience of its expression and their relationship to its challenges and ambitions. The piece drew inspiration from Governor's School East's tradition of enjoying sunrise on the last morning of the session, creating a similar ritual for the characters' high school graduation that served a framing device. Contemporary in its integration of poetry, dance, and ensemble-based storytelling, it also observed classical unities time, place, and action. DIRECTOR/SCENIC DESIGNER: Keaton Brower ASSISTANT DIRECTORS: Clara Haverstic & Allie Jessee LIGHTING DESIGNER: Eric Leary COSTUME DESIGNER: The Company VIDEOGRAPHER: Ryan Doggett</image:caption>
